Other Site Characteristics
| Old growth coniferous forest dominated by spruce and scattered birch. The growing stock is remarkably high. The forest is stratified and has a heterogeneous age structure. It contains a lot of structure elements such as dead standing trees, old windthrows and high stumps. In the site you find two mountains facing to the south. They are ending by a steep slope into a lake. In the north part you find a burned area wich is about 140 years old. This area is dominated by birch. The sparse documentation of the site does not allow a precise description of the area according to listed habitate. The time schedule hasn't allowed any studies of previous documentations (e.g. inventoryreports) of the area. |
4.2 Quality and importance
| Old growth western taiga with high growing stock is sparse in the region. The site has an excellent structure and has an excellent prospect for the future. Burned area with birch is an early stadium of succession and is very rare in the region. The area is uneffected by human activity and is a good representative for western taiga in the region. |

| Historically, forest fires have been one of the big forces forming the forest in the region. The site bear distinct traces of fire and forest fire is taken into consideration in the future management. |
