Other Site Characteristics

The area is made up of a small bay with shallow water. A Baltic sandflat with a depth of 0,5 meters. Vegetation of among other things Chara aspera have been noted. On the beach Phragmites australis can be noted around the outlet of a small creek as well as deciduous forest of predominantly Alnus incana.

Shallow waters have a large amount of sunlight which makes them very productive and vital for food production for deeper waters. It is also an important reproductive areas for a number of species. Natural area with very little human influence important for the Baltic ecosystem.
