- PF: for the habitat types that can have a non-priority as well as a priority form (6210, 7130, 9430) enter "X" in the column PF to indicate the priority form.
- NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)
- Cover: decimal values can be entered
- Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
- Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

Other Site Characteristics
A part of the long narrowed Gadda-Granberget-massif, with the eastern areas extending to the steep slopes of the mountain, covered by mixed coniferous forest. On high altitudes the pruce is dominating. Furthest north there are mainly pine-dominating forests in a quite flat area, with some hillocks and depressions. Three lakes are entriching the western part of the reserve.
East Bergträsket, the lake in the northwestern corner, there are sparcegrown pine-dominated forests with two generations of pine-trees and the fieldlayer mainly of fresh-bilberry-type. The frequences of fallen logs mainly denseness, especially sprucelogs. Signs of older cuttings are varying, with highest stump-frequences in the northeastern part. Along the brook are mainly spruces which in the eastern part is primeval consisting rich denseness of natural fallen logs and hanging lichens.
The lowest part of the northern side is characterised by sparse grown pineforest with some contribution of spruces and sallow. The signs of loggings are very rare and the frequences of fallen logs are moderate to abundant. The forest between the small lakes and Bergtjärnen in the west are dominated by spruce and quite frequent by coarsed birch.
The pine-trees in the area are mainly logged and the stands houses only a few overaged pinetrees. Near the small lakes are coarsed and tall spurces, covered by hanging lichens. Here are also sallows with polypores such as Haploporus ododrus and Lobaria pulmonaria. Some areas are herb-rich. Loggingstumps are here rare. The fresh bilberry-spruceforest with overaged pine-trees and old birches and sallows gets tiny higher up the slope succeeding in sparse standing spruces and tiny mixed with old birchgroups. The more higher parts on Gaddaberget is covered by pineforest. On a flat part, against the north, is an area strongly clearenced 1933 with only tiny spruces and pines. Around the highest peak is a pineforests growing on the bare bedrock.
The forest on the southern hillside there are signs from at least two burnings. The slope was exposed for extensive pineloggings, the last 1930. Due to this the eastern part houses mixed coniferous forest. The overaged pine-trees around 200yrs are present, but this generation are most common by coarsed logged stumps. There are though high amounts of ded wood. Near the steep are some parts with high frequences of juniper and sparce treelayers. Against the southwestern border are lush spurcedominated forests with contribution of moistured alder- and willow-shrub. Old coaled highstumps of pines are common, also down on the hillside where coarsed spurce are dominating the clump. |
4.2 Quality and importance
Gadda-Granberget consists of high productive primeval western taiga piceaforest and late successional pineforest, with high frequencies of dead wood, red-listed species and signs of burnings. |
