Other Site Characteristics
| A glacial ridgelandscape covered by a sparce growing pineforest and mixed coniferous forest. The area is quite variable with some brooks meeting in the central parts. There are also smaller boulderfields and close to the tarn there is a mire.The forest is characterised by coarse old overaged pinetrees and standing dry trunks. Though the frequence dead wood is strongly reduced since earlier selective loggings.The last fire seems to be very old resulting in very coarse sprucetrees. There are also some lowgrowing birch and stands of younger spruces. |
