  • PF: for the habitat types that can have a non-priority as well as a priority form (6210, 7130, 9430) enter "X" in the column PF to indicate the priority form.
  • NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Cover: decimal values can be entered
  • Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

3.2 Species referred to in Article 4 of Directive 2009/147/EC and listed in Annex II of Directive 92/43/EEC and site evaluation for them

  • S: in case that the data on species are sensitive and therefore have to be blocked for any public access enter: yes
  • NP: in case that a species is no longer present in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Type: p = permanent, r = reproducing, c = concentration, w = wintering (for plant and non-migratory species use permanent)
  • Unit: i = individuals, p = pairs or other units according to the Standard list of population units and codes in accordance with Article 12 and 17 reporting (see reference portal)
  • Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics

The forest in the area is dominated of spruce but the percentage of deciduous trees is partly quite high. A lot of thick aspen occur in parts of the site. Thick pine trees also grow in the area, mostly towards the mountain in the Southwest part of the site. In the same area, of large blocks becomes common in the landscape. A large part of the site, at least 25%, is grown with swamp woods that host several threatened species. Species that indicate a long forest continuity occur in Hällträsket. In several areas of the swamp woods, where the ground water flows close to the ground surface, the ground vegetation is very rich in herbs. Large populations of the orchid Coeloglossum viride, Goodyera repens and Platanthera bifolia grow in these spots. A lot of dead wood occur in Hällträsket, both logs and standing dead trees. Logs of really large dimensions are not present, the diameter of most logs are approximately 30 centimetres. An exception to this is logs of aspen that is quite thick and thereby makes good conditions for an interesting fungi flora at the site. The long continuity of dead wood is indicated by several red-listed polypores, other basidiomycetes and lichens (Swedish red-list). The site also has a lot of other elements that indicates on a nature forest, for example mixed age and height of the trees. The occurrence of fire injuries in the stem of the trees and the high amount of aspen and sallow indicates that the forest has been disturbed by fire. The swamp woods may have worked as fire refuges. A very nice stream runs through the western part of the area. On the western side of the stream is a dryer area with more dead logs. A lot of polypores grow on these logs. This area is relatively unaffected by forestry and show high biological values. If the forest at the affected part of site will be left for free development one can assume that, because of the high productivity at the site, the forest will develop into a very nice nature forest.

4.2 Quality and importance

In the area several threatened species are found, both vascular plants and ferns. Because of the hydrology at the site the forest can, despite the small area, continue as a source of threatened species to the surroundings.
