Other Site Characteristics

The River river valley spreads in a southwestern Slovenia, between the karstic limestone of the Snenik plateau and the sandstone of the Brkini range. One of the main features of the valley is the Reka river, Slovenian longest subterranean river. It usually floods annually. In the valley moist and mesophile grassland prevail, interrupted by scrubs, mixed forest and river stream, water fringe vegetation.
