Other Site Characteristics

It is a high karst plateau, belonging to the Dinaric mountain chain. The coniferous, deciduous and mixed forests covers 97% of the site. The other 2% are grassland and remnants of pasture. Among the types of forests, beech and silver spruce forests dominate.
