Other Site Characteristics

Well-preserved beech stands and beech mixtures with especially fir and valuable broadleaved tree species represent the site. Geological basement is formed by the Duklianska unit flysch rocks, particularly grey and black calcareous claystones, fine sandstones and partially sandy claystones as well. The quaternary landslides occur in the site. Prevalent soils are Stagni-Dystric Cambisols. This area belongs to the moderately cool subregion. The relief is of the upland character.

4.2 Quality and importance

Maintenance of the forest communities with the original natural wood composition, well-preserved structure and rich herbaceous undergrowth.
