Other Site Characteristics

The site is located in the flysch stripe of Biele Karpaty Mts.. In the site, there are the landslides, weepy springs and small irregular brooks. The river stream floodplain is waterloged. The whole site is of a grassland character. With regard to the undulated relief, there are many depressions and elevations. Scrubby and forest planting is strongly represented in numerous groups. Around the stream, the riverine vegetation is developed.

4.2 Quality and importance

The site is a part of the Biele Karpaty PLA and it overlaps with the homonymic Nebrová Nature Reserve designated in 1993. Aim of the protection is to preserve the mesophile and wet grasslands with the occurrence of orchids - e.g. Dactylorhiza sambucina, D. majalis, Gymnadenia conopsea and other rare spieces, e.g. Iris graminea, fauna species e.g. Lucilia bufonivora, Spherophoria schirchan (second locality in Slovakia and in the Carpathian mountain network).
