Other Site Characteristics

The territory belongs to the area of the Stredné Beskydy, Kysucká vrchovina whole, Krásňanská kotlina group .The water biotopes are especially valuable, with the presence of several species of fish of European significance (Sabanejevia aurata, Cobbitis taenia, Cottus gobio) and animals (Lutra lutra). From the coastal habitats, somewhere are extensively developed the sub-mountain to mountainalder floodplain forests with a nationally significant species of Matteuccia struthiopteris, additionally hygrophilic high-herbaceous boarder communities.

4.2 Quality and importance

Preservation of natural character of the defined part of Kysuce stream as a condition for preserving the recognized valuable ichthyofauna. Conservation of accompanying coastal vegetation, especially the face- developed ash-alder floodplain forests with mountain species and semiterestric animals.
