  • NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)

Other Site Characteristics

The proposed territory of European significance is the expose reforested slope of the northwest-southeast exposition, with protruding limestone rock formations. Geomorphologically, the territory of the Trebejské skaly belongs to the region of the Slovenské Rudohorie, the Čierna hora unit, Hornádske predhorie subunit with a upland mountainous, considarable differentiated relief. Of particular importance are forest biotopes of European significance - thermophilous submediteran oak forests, calcareous beech forests, as well as rock habitats of carbonate rock walls with slit vegetation and habitats of unstable rock debris. The occurrence of the biotope of national significance - the Carpathian oak-hornbeam forests was also noticed in the area. The occurrence of several species of European and national significance has been recorded in the territory, for example plant species Pulsatilla slavica, Pulsatilla subslavica, Platanthera chlorantha, Limodorum abortivum, Stipa pulcherimma, of animal species e.g. Lacerta viridis, Rana temporaria, Dendrocopos medius.

4.2 Quality and importance

The territory is a significant occurrence of the pasqueflowers - Pulsatilla slavica, Pulsatilla subslavica - and is located on the eastern border of the expansion area of these species.Significant is the representation of forest habitats of European importance - thermophilous submediteran oak forests, calcareous beech forests, as well as rockies habitats of carbonate rock walls with slit vegetation and habitats of unstable rock debris. The occurrence of the biotope of national significance - the Carpathian oak - hornbeam forest has also been recorded in the area.
