Other Site Characteristics

Pärnumaal asuv Valgeranna loodusala jääb Eesti maastike loodusliku liigestatuse jaotuse järgi Liivi lahe rannikumadalikule. See on maakerkel ja rannajoone läände taandumisel kujunenud rannikuterrass, mille maastikuline eripära tuleneb mere- ja tuuletekkeliste (vastavalt 44% ja 4%) pinnavormide domineerimisest. Madalas rannavööndis vahelduvad pikemad liivarannad (sh Valgerannas) kivise kamardunud moreenranna ja mölliranna lõikudega. Tegemist on mitmekesise rannamaastikuga.

4.2 Quality and importance

Valgeranna loodusala kaitstavad elupaigatüübid on valged luited (liikuvad rannikuluited – 2120), hallid luited (kinnistunud rannikuluited – *2130), luidetevahelised niisked nõod (2190) ja lamminiidud (6450). Lamminiitude esinduslikkus on arvestatav. Luidetega seotud elupaigatüübid on varieeruva esinduslikkuse ja looduskaitselise seisundiga (arvestatavast kuni väga heani).
