Vaindloo linnuala pindalaga 76 ha on Eesti kõige väiksem linnuala, kuhu on hõlmatud Vaindloo saar ja seda ümbritsev mereala. Vaindloo saar on Eesti kõige põhjapoolseim saar. Saar on sõltuvalt merevee tasemest umbes 600 m pikk ja 200 m lai ning koosneb moreenist ning selle rannale on moodustunud rannavallid. Ala on lage ning seal asub Vaindloo tuletorn.

4.2 Quality and importance

Vaindloo linnuala kuulub viie olulisema ala hulka regioonis, mis on moodustatud Euroopa Liidus ohustatud randtiiru (Sterna paradisaea) ja jõgitiiru (Sterna hirundo) kaitseks. Teised liigid, kelle arvukus tähtsal linnualal moodustab vähemalt 1% Eesti minimaalsest arvukusest, kelle arvukus on linnualal vähemalt 20 paari või kes omavad alal olulisi koondumiskohti on kivirullija (Arenaria interpres), tõmmukajakas (Larus fuscus), krüüsel (Cepphus grylle) ja sooräts (Asio flammeus).Vaindloo hiidrahnMõõtmed: 15,3 x 10,1 x 7,7(m) ÜM 38,6 m. Maapealne maht 480 m3. Kivimitüüp- graniit (H.Viiding, 1986.a); 16,6x9,8 m, üm 43,4m, h 6,8m. Maapealne maht 750 m3.
