Other Site Characteristics

It is predominantly a mosaic of semi-natural dry, grazed grasses and dry oak forests. On deeper soils on the bottom of valleys Juniper grasses developed as grazing was given up.

Its flora and fauna is exceptionally rich in unique species (orchids - here can be found the largest Transdanubian stand of Ophrys sphecodes). It is a feeding place of Aquila heliaca, Falco cherrug and Pernis apivorus.
