Other Site Characteristics

Mura River flows on the border of Hungary and Croatia (partly Slovenia) which provided good preservation of alluvial habitats and surroundings. It can still meander quite free creating all the natural lowland river formations: gravel and muddy bars, islands, oxbows, alluvial forests and meadows with low clayhills nearby.
