The most valuable habitats are Stipa steppe grasslands, which evolved on the area of abandoned vineyards, dwarf almond thickets and Hungarian meadow-grass rock grasslands. The biodiversity of the area is further intensified by marsh gentian hay meadows of northern exposure and the fragmented hygrophilous vegetation of the Szent Anna-t (Lake Szent Anna). The area is well-researched, 10 of the Annex II invertebrate species have been known to live here.
