  • Abundance categories (Cat.): C = common, R = rare, V = very rare, P = present - to fill if data are deficient (DD) or in addition to population size information
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation); VP = 'Very poor' (use this category only, if not even a rough estimation of the population size can be made, in this case the fields for population size can remain empty, but the field "Abundance categories" has to be filled in)

Other Site Characteristics

The site is formed by two extensive near natural forest patches, at the border areas seminatural dry grasslands with numerous protected and rare species. The hills loess-formed topography gives place to some habitats of higher elevations. In the valleys of hillfoots the grasslands are also valuable.

4.2 Quality and importance

Prioritsok: Kiemelt fontossg cl a kvetkezo fajok kedvezo termszetvdelmi helyzetnek fenntartsa: Darzslyv (Pernis apivorus), Kzp fakopncs (Dendrocopos medius), Fekete harkly (Dryocopus martius), Karvalyposzta (Sylvia nisoria). Kiemelt fontossg cl a kvetkezo fajok kedvezo termszetvdelmi helyzetnek helyrelltsa: Bksz sas (Aquila pomarina), Fekete glya (Ciconia nigra). The small hills in the site are covered with broad-leaf forests. (mostly Quercus pubescens and Quercus cerris dominated forests) The site is surrounded by arable land, so it is a refuge for some bird species, e.g. for Ciconia nigra or Aquila pomarina. There are several types of dry habitats, mostly forest but on the edge there are considerable bushy areas, good breeding facility for some passerines. On the southern part of the site there are some steppe fragments with arid or semiarid grasslands.
