Other Site Characteristics

Very valuable part of the South-Mezofld. The most extending natural habitats are close-to-natural grasslands on sand-soils but in significant quantity good quality forests exist also. The forest area is very mosaique-like with near natural stands of indigenous species, unfeatured plantations of indigenous species and artificial alien plantations. Among the forests some lakelets and wetland patches occur.

Half of the forested area is artificial plantation some of them with invasive species. Most valuable habitats are the grassy and wet habitats among the forests with relict flora and fauna.
