Other Site Characteristics

The site is formed by five grassland territories with very good species composition with some water fringed willow forest patches. Mostly mesophile habitats and few hidrophile and dry grasslands. The site is located near Pécs in a characteristically artificial landcape.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Fő célkitűzések: - A területen található vizes élőhelyek megőrzése, megfelelő vízállapotuk fenntartása. - A terület szárazodó láprétjeinek kedvezőbb természetvédelmi helyzetbe hozása vízháztartásának javításával, elsősorban a lecsapoló árkokon történő vízvisszatartás útján. - A terület sztyeprétjeinek megőrzése a cserjésedés visszaszorításával valamint a legeltetés, kaszálás feltételeinek megteremtésével. - A túlnyomó részt mezőgazdasági, lakó és ipari területekkel övezett természetközeli és féltermészetes élőhelyek védelmének biztosítása, a kedvezőtlen hatások kiküszöbölése. További célok és célkitűzések: - A gyepes területek megfelelő kezelésének biztosítása, a cserjésedés megelőzése. - Az antropogén hatásra kialakuló gyakori tűzesetek megelőzése. - A közösségi jelentőségű élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása érdekében a rájuk jellemző, védett növényfajoknak (Iris sibirica, I. graminea, Digitalis lanata) védelme. - Nőszirom fajok élőhelyein megfelelő gyakoriságú kaszálás biztosítása. - A löszsztyepp élőhelyeken legeltetés biztosítása. - A vízfolyások mellett kialakult és erősen degradálódó szegélytársulások és ligeterdők természetességének javítása megfelelő kezeléssel (kaszálás, inváziós fajok visszaszorítása). - Inváziós (pl gyalogakác, aranyvessző) növények bekerülésének, terjedésének megelőzése. - A területet érintő részletes felmérések elkészítése, kiemelt figyelemmel a terület jelölő és egyéb közösségi jelentőségű fajaira és élőhelyeire.
