Other Site Characteristics

Hydrophilous meadows north of and loess grasslands south of the settlement of Kocs. In the grasslands and in their surroundings there are Robinia pseudoacacia plantations threatening the habitats to be conserved. The grassland fragments remained in intensive agricultural areas, on steeper hill slopes and in the wet bottoms of valleys.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: Kedvező természetvédelmi helyzet megőrzése: A jelölő faj populáció nagyságának megőrzése, a populáció elterjedési területe nem csökkenhet. A jó állapotú löszgyepek természetszerű szerkezetének, fajkészletének megőrzése. Kedvező természetvédelmi helyzet elérése érdekében szükséges fejlesztés: Invazív fajok, különösen a selyemkóró, kanadai aranyvessző, fehér akác, bálványfa, erdei fenyő, által veszélyeztetett jelölő gyeptársulás megóvása a degradációtól, az invazív fajok terjedésének megállítása, állományaik csökkentése. Az aktuális természeti állapothoz igazodó legeltetési/kaszálási rendszer kialakítása és megvalósítása a löszgyepek, kaszálórétek területén a túlhasználat/alulhasználat elkerülése érdekében. A közönséges ürge (Spermophilus citellus) állományának megerősítése, fenntartása érdekében élőhelyén a rendszeres kaszálás helyett legeltetni szükséges. A területen található cserjésedett, mesterségesen erdősített löszgyepek fokozatos visszaalakítása gyeppé, vagy őshonos fafajú erdőkkel mozaikos gyepekké. Az élőhelyeket veszélyeztető egyéb tevékenységek (pl.: gépjármű forgalom, crossmotorozás, quad, illegális bányászat) megszüntetése, a jogilag nem létező, de kijárt földutak felszámolása. A jelölő élőhelyek infrastrukturális fejlesztésekkel szembeni védelme.
