4.1 General site character

Habitat class % Cover

Total Habitat Cover

Other Site Characteristics

Large forests stretching from the settlement of Lbatlan to the settlements of Vrtestolna and Gyermely. From the thick loess cover limestone cliffs emerge in the higher areas, often forming extensive karrenfelds (Lyukas-ko, Borostynko, etc.). The acid basic rock emerges to the surface in two places, in room-sized patches: the gravel-conglomerate in the western part of Borostynko and the flint with characteristic siliceous forest vegetation south of Jsti-hegy are remarkable phenomena.
