Other Site Characteristics

This site is composed of the region of the settlements of Alsnmedi, csa, Inrcs, Kakucs, jhartyn, Dabas, Tborfalva and Tatrszentgyrgy. A boggy area of a characteristic mosaic between the River Duna and the River Tisza, which evolved in the Mesozoic Age along a geological fault and its present condition was formed by water-courses (River Duna), wind and human interference. The region is made up of the habitat types of bog forests, bog meadows, at the higher terrains arable lands, sand dunes, Convallario-Quercetum habitats (on and between the sand dunes), Junipero-Populetum albae, alkaline vegetation and some places tree plantations. The influencing factors of key importance of the site is the prevailing precipitation, the water-level of the Duna and human activities (management of meadows and forests, gravel-digging, etc.).

The site is threatened by lack of precipitation and urbanisation effects. A breeding and migration area of 186 bird species. A unique region, as its preserved habitats were elsewhere excluded and devastated in Hungary (due to draining, drying, etc.), but can be found here in a complex.

A terleten tallhat cserjsedett, mestersgesen erdostett pannon homoki gyepek visszaalaktsa gyepekk, vagy oshonos fafaj erdokkel mozaikos gyepekk. Az lohelyeket veszlyezteto egyb tevkenysgek (pl.: gpjrmu forgalom, crossmotorozs, quad, illeglis bnyszat) megszntetse, a jogilag nem ltezo, de kijrt fldutak felszmolsa. A terleten a vadltszmot olyan szinten szksges tartani, hogy az a kln vadvdelem nlkli erdofeljtst ne gtolja, valamint ne okozza a gyepek degradcijt. A jello lohelyek infrastrukturlis fejlesztsekkel szembeni vdelme.
