Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: - A homoki tölgyes erdők természetközeli állományainak fenntartása, különös tekintettel a speciális homoki gyertyános-tölgyesekre. - Őshonos fafajú állományokban a kiterjedt tarvágásos véghasználatok mellőzése, folyamatos erdőborítás fenntartása. A felújításokban a teljes talajelőkészítés és tuskózás (az akácos állományokat kivéve) elhagyása. A talaj és az aljnövényzet bolygatását a lehető legkisebbre javasolt csökkenteni. Az ápolásokban totális gyomirtók alkalmazásának mellőzése. - Javasolt természetközeli felújítási módok kísérletes kidolgozása. - A tájidegen erdőállományok fokozatos őshonos állományra cserélése. - Az inváziós fajok (akác, kései meggy, zöld juhar, ostorfa, gyalogakác, magas aranyvessző) visszaszorítása, szükség esetén rendszeres beavatkozásokkal. A természetközeli/féltermészetes erdőállományokból a tájidegen fafajok (akác, fekete dió, vörös tölgy, zöld juhar, ostorfa, kései meggy, gyalogakác stb.) egyedeinek eltávolítása, ennek során a sarj vagy újulatképzés megakadályozása. - A természetközeli erdei aljnövényzet megóvása, a természetes felújulás segítése érdekében (taposás, túrás, rágási kár megelőzése miatt) a területen a nagyvad egyedszámának megfelelő szinten tartása. - A jelölő erdei élőhelyek inváziós veszélyeztetésének csökkentése. Ennek érdekében a jelölő élőhelyekkel érintkező, az adott helyen tényleges inváziós fenyegetést jelentő tájidegen fásszárú állományok (pl. akác) telepítésének visszaszorítása a szántókon is, illetve a jelenlegi állományok átalakítása, lecserélése a felújításuk helyett.
