Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása, lehetőség szerinti fejlesztése: Élőhelyek: 1530 Pannon szikes sztyeppék és mocsarak 6260 Pannon homoki gyepek Fajok: Kisfészkű aszat (Cirsium brachycephalum) Mocsári teknős (Emys orbicularis) Vöröshasú unka (Bombina bombina) Fairly extensive salt steppe occurence on the north-eastern edge of the territory of salt areas in Hungary. The conditions depend on the sandy soil, and the sodic character which results in a special flora and fauna not comparable with other salt grassland sites. Extremely special conditions are characteristic where sodic lakes occur.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok és végrehajtandó intézkedések: - A szikes tómedrek és gyepek megőrzése (beépítés, erdősítés, beszántás, vonalas létesítmények kialakításával szemben ). - Csatornákon vízvisszatartás, a lecsapoló funkció mérséklése. - A közvetlen vízgyűjtőn és mederben, valamint a gyepeken bármiféle szennyezés (vegyszerezés, trágya) visszaszorítása, megakadályozása. - Kíméletes kaszálási és legeltetési rend kialakítása, a gyepeken a nád terjedésének megakadályozása. - Telephelyek gyepek rovására való terjedésének megakadályozása. - A gyepeken szükség szerinti cserjeirtás, az inváziós fajok (pl. ezüstfa) eltávolítása. - Rendezvények tartása a jelölő élőhelytípusokon kerülendő
