Other Site Characteristics

This site consists of small loess steppes mainly situated along roads. These very endangered steppes are habitats of rare plant species like Ajuga laxmannii, Amygdalus nana or Anchusa barrelieri.

4.2 Quality and importance

Kiemelt fontosságú cél a következő fajok/élőhelyek kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének fenntartása és helyreállítása: Élőhelyek: Pannon szikes sztyeppek és mocsarak 1530 Síksági pannon löszgyepek 6250 Fajok: Atracélcincér (Pilemia tigrina) Magyar tarsza (Isophya costata) The loess steppes have great importance in the Great Plain as most of them has been cultivated and thus only these small remains are habitat of many valuable protected plant and animal species'.

Általános célkitűzések: A Natura 2000 terület természetvédelmi célkitűzése az azon található, a kijelölés alapjául szolgáló fajok és élőhelytípusok kedvező természetvédelmi helyzetének megőrzése, fenntartása, helyreállítása, valamint a Natura 2000 területek lehatárolásának alapjául szolgáló természeti állapot és a kedvező természetvédelmi állapottal összhangban lévő gazdálkodás feltételeinek biztosítása. Specifikus célok: A síksági pannon löszgyepek és a pannon szikes sztyeppek és mocsarak élőhelytípusok állományainak fenntartása aktív természetvédelmi kezeléssel (kaszálás). A gyepek cserjésedésének megakadályozása aktív élőhelykezeléssel. Az inváziós növényfajok (fehér akác, gyalogakác, keskenylevelű ezüstfa) visszaszorítása, terjedésének megakadályozása. A síksági pannon löszgyepek élőhelytípusnál az útmezsgyékben található meglévő, de becserjésedett gyepállományok esetében a kedvező természetvédelmi helyzet helyreállítása a cserjésedés visszaszorításával. A Tompapusztai löszgyeppel szomszédos területen a síksági pannon löszgyepek élőhelytípus területi arányának növelése visszagyepesítéssel, illetve a spontán gyepesedés biztosításával. A magyar tarsza (Isophya costata) állományának növelése a Tompapusztai löszgyeppel szomszédos területen a megfelelő élőhelyi feltételek megteremtésével.
