  • NP: in case that a habitat type no longer exists in the site enter: x (optional)
  • Cover: decimal values can be entered
  • Caves: for habitat types 8310, 8330 (caves) enter the number of caves if estimated surface is not available.
  • Data quality: G = 'Good' (e.g. based on surveys); M = 'Moderate' (e.g. based on partial data with some extrapolation); P = 'Poor' (e.g. rough estimation)

Other Site Characteristics

The site has special features, such as loess valleys, loess cliffs, remains of loess forest-steppe and loess-steppe vegetation. In some places sand appears on the surface and the vegetation is mixed. A kind of typical loessy grassland vegetation can be found here. (Chrysopogon gryllus-Carex humilis-Brachipodium pinnatum) Notes: Artifical forest cultures consist of Pinus nigra, Robinia pseudo-acacia, Ailanthus altissima. Other land: former ploughland with re-growing grass and alfalfa, an artifical pond, a non-recultivated quarry.

4.2 Quality and importance

Kiemelt fontossg cl a kvetkezo lohelyek kedvezo termszetvdelmi helyzetnek helyrelltsa: 40A0 (szubkontinentlis peripannon cserjsek), 6250 (sksgi pannon lszgyepek), 6210 (meszes alapkozetu fltermszetes gyepek). In the Great Plain the loess vegetation has been almost completely destroyed by agricultural activities. Only small fragments have remained. The site has the last remains of this kind of vegetation in the Danube-Tisza Interfluve region. The site has plants and animal species protected by national law.
