Other Site Characteristics

Complesso montuoso di crinale costituito da affioramenti rocciosi (Monte Prado, terza cima in altezza dell'Appennino settentrionale), praterie, pascoli di altitudine, faggete.

4.2 Quality and importance

Specie vegetali CORINE appendice K: Coeloglossum viride. Specie vegetali RARE : Empetrum hermaphroditum. Specie vegetali RARISSIME: Leucanthemopsis alpina, Rhododendron ferrugineum, Salix herbacea, Sorbus chamaemespilus. Specie vegetali RARE e MINACCIATE: Triglochin palustre. Specie vegetali RARISSIME e MINACCIATE: Swertia perennis, Trichophorum alpinum. POPOLAZIONI APPENNINICHE: Empetrum hermaphroditum, Leucanthemopsis alpina, Rhododendron ferrugineum, Salix herbacea, Sorbus chamaemespilus. Specie animali: Chionomys nivalis, entità presente in regione esclusivamente nella fascia altomontana appenninica. Legata ad ambienti di praterie di altitudine (nardeti) o ad emergenze rocciose (pietraie e ghiaioni). In regione è presente con stazioni isolate che rappresentano il margine meridionale dell'areale di distribuzione. Canis lupus: significativa presenza durante l'anno. Rana temporaria: le popolazioni appenniniche risultano isolate.
